Due to further business expansion, we have two exciting job vacancies currently at Homer Farming.
- HERDSPERSON at one of our autumn block calving, pasture based dairy farms. The role will include regular milking, stock welfare and hygiene along with working closely with the business owners and dairy farm manager to drive efficiency and performance. You’ll support the young stock rearing operation and also contribute to the general smooth running of operations.
- YOUNGSTOCK & CALF REARER on our three dairy herds, 1 spring block calving, 2 autumn block calving. All pasture based. The role will be based from one of our dairy enterprises and will oversee the development and welfare of all our young stock. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, regular calf feeding on one of our units whilst also ensuring the weighing and de-horning is managed effectively. During quieter times of the year you’ll be supporting our dairy teams with relief milking, stock hygiene and general farm work.
